* Images are of the actual product not stock images

An attractive hammered silver Threepence of Queen Elizabeth the First with a Plain Cross mint mark. Dated 1578, from the Queen’s 5th issue, struck at the Tower mint, London. The obverse features the crowned bust of the queen facing left without the rose behind. The reverse shows a long cross quartering a shield of royal arms with the date above the shield. Elizabeth I’s coinage is popular with collectors because of the range of denominations, issues and mint marks. This coin would make a nice addition to any Elizabethan collection. Spink 2573.
