Collectable 2010 gold Quarter Sovereign in the original Royal Mint presentation packaging. This tiny fractional coin features the instantly recognisable image of Saint George slaying a dragon on the reverse. This engraving was created for the first modern Sovereigns by Italian artist Benedetto Pistrucci and has been carried over onto this new addition to the Sovereign range, introduced in 2009. Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the obverse, the fourth definitive coinage portrait of this British monarch. Records show that just 8,985 22-carat gold Quarter Sovereigns were issued in 2010. These pre-owned examples are supplied in the original presentation card and box from The Royal Mint.
