This impressive centenary coin is a tribute to the mint's history, replicating the classic Saint George and the dragon design that appeared on historic Perth Sovereigns, with the addition of a special 'P100' mintmark. The silver border honours the role of this precious metal in the Perth Mint's story. Just 7,500 of these limited edition $100 coins were issued in 1999 and this one is supplied in the original case.

While the centre of this coin is made of solid 22-carat gold, the outer ring is made of 99.9% fine silver, both parts struck to a uniform proof finish. The total weight is 13.00 grams, and the face value here is AUD$100.
