Celebrate a milestone in the Britannia series with the 2015 1oz silver proof Britannia, showcasing a popular reverse design by sculptor Antony Dufort. His head-and-shoulders portrait of Britannia shows the warrior goddess in a Corinthian helmet, grasping a trident and Union Jack shield as she gazes out to sea. Its very similar to Dufort's new design for the £2 coin which entered circulation in this year, with this version displaying background detail, including a sailing ship. This is paired with Jody Clark's newly introduced fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II: the first time that this effigy was used on a UK Britannia. Struck in 999 fine silver and finished to The Royal Mint's proof standard, this 2015 coin is from a limited edition presentation of 4,240 individually boxed coins and is supplied with its numbered certificate of authenticity.
