Young Head 1887 Threepence: one of the last coins minted with this enduring portrait of Queen Victoria, originally engraved by William Wyon.
Wyon's uncrowned portrait was introduced in Victoria's Coronation year and used on her coinage for decades. It was replaced in 1887 with Joseph Edgar Boehm's Jubilee Head portrait with some 1887 3d coins (Jubilee Head 1887 Threepences) utilising this crowned effigy.
