1887 Threepence Jubilee Head Victoria Silver Coin

Collectable 1887 Queen Victoria silver Threepence, featuring Joseph Edgar Boehm's Jubilee Head portrait to the obverse.

This controversial effigy was introduced in 1887, but only appeared on British coins until 1893. Boehm's portrait is paired with the enduring crowned '3' and wreath design, attributed to Jean Baptiste Merlen and a perennial presence on circulating and Maundy Money coins.
