Scarce silver proof 1887 Threepence, struck with the Jubilee Head portrait in the year that Queen Victoria marked sixty years since her accession.

These proof 3d coins feature the newly introduced crowned portrait of Victoria by Joseph Edgar Boehm, paired with the classic crowned '3' and wreath design, shown on the reverse. The same design was used on circulating coins issued in the same year: 1893 Threepence (Jubilee Head).
