2018 Year of the Dog silver proof coin from The Royal Mint's Shēngxiào Collection. The dog is the eleventh animal in the Chinese system and people born in its year are said to mirror the canine in their loyalty and friendliness. Reverse designer Wuon-Gean Ho captures this essence through the bounding terrier-like dog depicted on this 1oz fine silver coin. Jody Clark's obverse artistry depicts Her Late Majesty - a famous dog-lover - Elizabeth II in her final definitive British coin portrait. This is a proof standard coin struck in .999 fine silver to a gross weight of 31.21 grams. Your lunar dog is kennelled in the 38.61 millimetre diameter of this Two Pound Sterling denominated coin, which arrives capsuled. Also included is the original Royal Mint display box complete with outer case. Spink data suggests only 5,008 were issued, and included is the individual numbered certificate of authenticity.
