1901 Florin Victoria Silver Coin

The final Victorian silver Florin, struck in London at the Royal Mint as part of a calendar year mintage of 2,648,870 coins.

Queen Victoria died on 22 January 1901 at the age of 81. Though she passed away early in the year, all 1901-dated British coins feature the so-called Old Head portrait of the late Queen by Sir Thomas Brock, rather than the image of her son and successor, King Edward VII.
