Gold bullion Half Sovereign from 2010 in the original Royal Mint card box. 2010 Half Sovereigns feature the classic Saint George and the dragon design on the reverse. This historic engraving was created by Benedetto Pistrucci for the first modern gold Sovereigns and connects these modern coins to a proud heritage. Pistrucci's depiction of England's patron saint is paired with Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth definitive coinage effigy of Her Majesty used on British coins. Half Sovereigns are struck in 3.99 grams of 22-carat gold, offering investors 0.1177 troy ounces of pure precious metal. This pre-owned 2010 bullion coin is from a low annual mintage of 16,485 Half Sovereigns and comes in the original presentation card and box from The Royal Mint.
