1926 Half Sovereign George V South Africa Gold Coin

Collectable 1926 gold Half Sovereign, struck at the Pretoria, South Africa branch of the Royal Mint during the reign of King George V.

These historic Half Sovereigns feature the classic Saint George and the dragon design on their reverse, designed more than a century earlier by Benedetto Pistrucci. A tiny 'SA' mintmark above the date indicates that it was struck at the South African Mint established in 1923.
