Buy a 1819 Sovereign (Restrike)

Collectable restrike 1819 gold Sovereign: one of the rarest issues in the Sovereign series. Just 3,574 1819 Sovereigns are reported to have been struck, and only 10 or so seem to have survived. Original examples feature a laureate bust of King George III on the obverse and the classic St George and the dragon reverse, both created by Italian artist Benedetto Pistrucci. These modern 1819 restrikes were produced by the Pobjoy Mint and feature a careful reproduction of the same design seen on historic examples. They are also produced to the same specifications in eight grams of 22-carat gold. Just 250 were struck, and we are offering these pre-owned coins in the original box of issue with a numbered certificate enclosed.
