This extra-heavy 2020 Two Pound coin was minted to celebrate 100 years since the publication of Agatha Christie’s first novel: The Mysterious Affair at Styles. This detective story – the first of many - introduced Hercule Poirot, a famous line of whose appears on the edge of this officially licensed coin which reads ‘LITTLE GREY CELLS’. The reverse is filled with murder weapons against a puzzle-piece motif, the work of artist David Lawrence. From a limited-edition presentation of just 800, this £2 has an attractive two-tone effect, achieved with a gold-plated outer ring. This piedfort coin is struck to proof standard in 24.00 grams of .925 sterling silver.
