To mark the centenary year of the Royal Air Force, The Royal Mint released a series of coins celebrating the storied history of the service. The 2018 RAF Centenary Sea King £2 Silver Proof showcases the Sea King helicopter - a bright yellow search and rescue helicopter that served from 1978 to 2015. The reverse shows the Sea King in the process of winching down a rescuer against a textured background - a motif designed by brothers Neil and Richard Talbot. This is paired with Jody Clark’s fifth portrait of Elizabeth II. From a limited edition presentation of 4,163, this coin is struck to proof standard in 12.00 grams of .925 Sterling Silver. You’ll receive your Two Pound coin in its original packaging from The Royal Mint with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
