These £10 coins feature a crowned lion roaring above a shield of Royal Arms. Jody Clark designed the image of a crowned and roaring lion over a shield of Royal Arms that appears on the reverse of this 2017 Queen's Beasts coin. The date is shown above with 'LION OF ENGLAND' below.
The obverse used for Lion of England coins is also the work of Jody Clark. His fifth and final coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was used from 2015 to 2022. The legend reads 'ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 10 POUNDS ·'.
