This Prince Charles 50th Birthday silver proof £5 coin and £10 banknote set is a collectable collaboration between The Royal Mint and the Bank of England. Released to commemorate the milestone birthday of the then Prince of Wales, now King Charles III, born on 14 November 1948, the set includes a sterling silver Five Pound, Crown-sized coin designed by portrait artist Michael Noakes, prominently celebrating The Prince's Trust charity. Also included is a limited edition Ten Pound banknote, in pristine condition, with a unique PW50 serial number not issued for general circulation. Only 500 sets were authorised, with the banknote serial number matching the certificate of authenticity enclosed in the presentation box. This is a scarce and unusual collector's piece, available in good pre-owned condition.

Also included in this 1998 set is a Bank of England Kentfield PW50 Ten Pound note, with a serial number exclusive to this issue. Please note that the serial number may vary slightly from the example pictured.
