1995 Dove Of Peace End Of The Second World War Two Pound Silver Proof Coin

1995 End of the Second World War £2 Silver Proof Boxed
from
£25.00
1995 marked 50 years since the end of the Second World War. Hostilities ceased on 9 May 1945, better known as VE Day. To commemorated the anniversary, The Royal Mint released this silver proof Two Pound coin with a dove of peace on its reverse - a simple image but universally recognised. This elegant design is the work of John Mills. It is joined on the obverse by Raphael Maklouf’s third definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Struck in 15.98 grams of .925 Sterling Silver, from a mintage limit of 35,751 coins. Your 1995 World War Two £2 coin comes in its original packaging from The Royal Mint with a certificate of authenticity.
