1891 Threepence Victoria Silver Coin

Jubilee Head silver Threepence coin from 1891, struck in London at the Royal Mint, late in the reign of Queen Victoria.

These British coins feature Joseph Edgar Boehm's controversial Jubilee Head portrait of Victoria, introduced in 1887. This is paired with the classic 3d reverse, showing a number '3' surmounted by a crown and surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves, attributed to Jean Baptiste Merlen.
