Second in the Royal Mint's Shēngxiào collection comes this 1oz silver proof coin for the Year of the Sheep. This .999 fine silver coin celebrates the sheep through a reverse design by British Chinese artist Wuon-Gean Ho, who reflects her dual-identity. Here, two English Swaledale sheep are featured with a distinctive Chinese landscape backdrop. To the obverse of this Chinese New Year silver coin is Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Mint struck this UK coin, which has a 31.21 gram gross weight, multiple times with expertly-polished dies to produce the impressive proof finish. Collectability of this Two Pound sterling denominated coin is further enhanced by the 38.61 millimetre diameter - made to be admired. This is a pre-owned silver Royal Mint lunar coin, complete with the original outer sleeve and felt-lined presentation box. Being one in a limited edition presentation - Spink data suggests only 4,463 were issued - the numbered certificate is included.

Reverse: 2015 Year Of The Sheep Coin 

Two horned Swaledale sheep, designed by London-artist Wuon-Gean Ho, face each other in reference to the herd nature of sheep. Between them sits the Chinese symbol for the animal: '羊'. Above the wooly pair reads 'YEAR OF THE SHEEP · 2015'.

A proof Royal Mint coin struck in 1oz of .999 fine silver and holding a face value of Two Pounds Sterling. The 38.61 millimetre diameter UK coin has a gross weight of 31.21 grams. 

Royal Mint Chinese New Year Presentation 

Leading auction house Spink suggests that while the Mint outlined a maximum mintage figure of 9,888, only 4,463 were issued in actuality. This considerably limited coin is also presented with the original card sleeve and booklet. Inside the felted case is the capsuled silver coin and numbered certificate of authenticity.
