'Wreath' Crowns are UK silver coins minted in very limited numbers between 1927 and 1936. Sometimes known as 'Christmas Crowns', these coins were intended as seasonal gifts for VIP clients of the Bank of England. These collectable coins take their name from their distinctive reverse design.

1933 Crown coins were struck in 28.28 grams of 50% silver as was typical of British coins in this period. Like earlier milled Crowns, the 1933 Wreath Crown measures 38.6 millimetres in diameter.
The Royal Mint produced just 7,132 silver Crowns in 1933. Pieces from this very limited mintage can be difficult to find today in good condition.
