1925 second coinage UK silver Halfcrowns featuring the distinctive uncrowned coinage portrait of King George V by Bertram Mackennal.
This effigy was used with minor modifications on all coins from this reign. This is paired with a classic reverse, which centres on a crowned and quartered shield of royal arms, surrounded by a garter and originally designed for the coinage of King Edward VII by George William de Saulles.
