1897 Florin Victoria Silver Coin

Historic British silver Florin, struck in 1897, the year that Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years on the throne.

These Victorian Florins display the Old Head or Widowed Head portrait of the Queen, designed by Sir Thomas Brock. This elegant effigy is paired with a reverse by Edward John Poynter that shows shields representing England, Scotland and Ireland with a crown above, encircled by a garter.
