Buy a 1893 Halfcrown

1893 UK silver Halfcrowns: the first Halfcrown struck with Sir Thomas Brock's Widowed Head portrait of Queen Victoria.

This elegant veiled and diademed effigy replaced the unpopular Jubilee Head and was used on British coins until the end of Queen Victoria's reign in 1901. It's paired on this 1893 coin with an accomplished crowned shield of royal arms design, also engraved by Brock.

  • Records show that in the 1893 calendar year, the Royal Mint struck 1,792,600 Old Head Halfcrowns
  • These historic currency coins were minted from .925 sterling silver in London in 1893
