Buy a 1890 Halfcrown

Add an 1890 Victorian silver Halfcrown to your collection. This historic British coin features the controversial Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse. While commentators at the time did not like Joseph Edgar Boehm's depiction of Victoria's tiny crown and double chin, many collectors today enjoy the intricate details of the portrait, which can be seen to full effect on this larger sterling silver coin. The reverse by Leonard Charles Wyon is similarly elaborate, showing a shield of royal arms, surmounted by a crown and encircled by a garter and a collar from which hangs a St George pendant. 3,228,111 1890 Halfcrowns were struck by the Royal Mint, and they make an essential addition to any Halfcrown date run.
