The official silver medal, issued to celebrate the 1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey.

Issued by the Royal Mint, these small silver medals were designed by sculptor Percy Metcalfe, better known for the 1935 Rocking Horse Crown and the coinage of the Irish Free State. Some sources indicate a total mintage for this 31.7mm edition of 87,143.
