The official large gold medal, struck to celebrate King George VI's 1937 Coronation: designed by Percy Metcalfe and graded MS 62 by NGC.

George VI's Coronation was held at Westminster Abbey the year after the death of King George V and the abdication of King Edward VIII. This historic British medal features a left-facing crowned portrait of the King with 'GEORGE VI CROWNED 12 MAY 1937' around. The reverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
