A very collectable hammered silver Halfgroat of King Henry the Eighth with the mintmark of ’T’ indicating struck at the mint of Canterbury between the years 1526 to 1532. The letters W A are seen either side of the shield representing Archbishop William Warham these Episcopal coins are struck with the kings authority under the Archbishops control, William Warham was responsible for crowning the Henry VIII on 24th June 1509 at Westminster abbey.
