Buy a 2021 Alderney Gothic 2oz Gold Proof PR70DCAM

Two ounce Alderney gothic cruciform shields coin in 999.9 gold: from a total mintage of just 250 pieces. This premium collectable is issued by the island of Alderney, the northernmost of the Chanel Islands. Graded PR70DCAM by PCGS this Two Hundred Pound piece is a tribute to the rare 1847 Gothic Crown, recreating an instantly recognisable design from his numismatic masterpiece, designed by great engraver, William Wyon. Wyon was Chief Engraver to The Royal Mint during the early nineteenth century and is known for his Three Graces pattern and the Una and the Lion gold £5. His Gothic Crown features a remarkable obverse portrait of Queen Victoria and a highly-detailed reverse, designed by William Dyce, featuring the quartered shields of the royal arms of the United Kingdom. It's a reinterpretation of this engraving that features on this Commonwealth Mint coin, paired with a one-off portrait of the later Queen Elizabeth II, designed by renown numismatic artist Jody Clark. This is inspired by the original gothic-revival style portrait of Victoria. You'll receive this stunning pre-owned brilliant proof coin sealed in its Professional Coin Grading Service holder, inside an attractive black presentation box.
