2021 Queen's Beasts Completer One Ounce Gold Bullion Coin
Gold bullion Queen's Beasts completer coins make a great investment.
The Queen's Beasts Collection
New coins in the Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts collection have been flying off the shelves since the first design was revealed in 2016. Coins in the series, including the 2021 Queen’s Beasts Completer coin combine lifelike animals with graphic heraldic elements.
The series was inspired by ten statues – crafted by sculptor James Woodford – that stood guard during the Queen's 1953 coronation. Featuring the real and mythological beasts that appear on the coats of arms of British royal houses, the Queen's Beasts symbolise Her Majesty's noble lineage.
The 2021 Completer Coin
This final coin in the Queen's Beasts series incorporates the ten creatures that featured on the previous releases, encircling a small portrait of Her Majesty the Queen. Like the rest of the Queen's Beasts series, this design is the work of Jody Clark whose official effigy of Elizabeth II is also used on the obverse.
The design used on these bullion Completer coins differs from proof coins in the same range in that the coin’s composition is listed on the reverse. A chain mail texture is also used for the obverse background, making the portrait stand out.
VAT and Capital Gains Tax Free
This Queen's Beasts Completer coin is struck to an uncirculated finish in 31.21 grams of 999.9 fine gold and contains one troy ounce of precious metal. This 24 carat gold composition makes them purer than Gold Britannias which are slightly heavier but contain a similar amount of gold.
With a face value of £100, this gold bullion coin is legal tender and therefore exempt from Capital Gains Tax in the UK and European Union. An additional benefit: these one ounce Queen's Beasts Completer coins are VAT free making them an excellent investment.
