Quarter ounce Shaken, Not Stirred 24-carat gold proof coin from the UK’s national mint. From a limited edition presentation of just 1,000 pieces, this coin is the third release in The Royal Mint’s James Bond collection. Previous issues, struck to mark the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the popular franchise, have featured 007’s Aston Martin and Wet Nellie, the futuristic submarine car. This 1/4oz coin features a stylish design by experienced coinage artists, Christian Davies and Matt Dent of the design agency Bison Bison. Their design for this 2020 coin shows the legendary spy in his trademark tuxedo with the words ‘SHAKEN NOT STIRRED’ below: a reference to Bond’s vodka martini order. The gun motif, overlaid over the central design connects with the other coins in this collection to form the distinctive 007 logo. The obverse of this coin shows Jody Clark’s fifth and final definitive coin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Each of these quarter ounce collectibles are struck in 7.80 grams of 99.99% fine gold with a diameter of 22.00 millimetres and a milled edge.
