In 2006, the Mint used the classic standing Britannia design for coins in the Britannia range. Created by Philip Nathan in 1987 for the first gold Britannias, this motif has been a mainstay of the series since its inception. It's paired here with Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
