1876 Queen Victoria Gold Full Sovereign reverse

A collectable gold full Sovereign of Queen Victoria dated 1876. The obverse features the young head type 1A of the queen facing left with the hair bound with a double fillet, small ‘w.w.’ on the truncation for engraver William Wyon. The reverse shows the famous St George on horseback armed with a sword slaying a dragon underfoot, with date below and small initials ‘B.P. for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci. This sovereign exceeds the bullion value with its age and condition making an excellent addition to any numismatic collection or gold investment portfolio.
