2015 Royal Arms One Pound Circulated Coin

The last round Pound! This 2015 UK £1 was one of the last to be issued before the new, bi-metallic coin was introduced.

In 2015, The Royal Mint put two different One Pound designs into circulation. This one, designed by heraldic artist Timothy Noad, featuring the royal arms of the United Kingdom, was inspired by Eric Sewell's original £1 reverse.

• The obverse features Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, its first use on a Pound coin
• 129,616,985 of these nickel-brass Royal Arms coins were struck by The Royal Mint in 2015
• Both this and the Royal Shield £1 were minted as currency and may show wear
