A rare and collectable silver Denarius of the Roman Emperor Vitellius, stuck in Spain at the Tarraco mint in AD 69. The obverse features the laureate head of the emperor facing left. The reverse shows Victory walking holding a globe with wings flowing from her shoulders, In Roman religion, Victoria was the personified goddess of victory, the equivalent of the greek god Nike. Vitellius was the third emperor of the famous year of four emperors. He reigned for about eight months between 15 Apr and 22 Dec in AD 69.
