2026 Concorde Fifty Pence Silver Proof Coin
Celebrating Concorde
This official collectors' coin from The Royal Mint marks half a century since Concorde entered commercial service in 1976, celebrating a landmark achievement in aviation that redefined speed, engineering and luxury air travel.
2026 50th Anniversary Coin
This coin was designed by creative agency Osbourne Ross and shows Concorde in flight with the lettering - 'CONCORDE' - designed to look like a split-flap departure board with '21 JANUARY 1976' below.
King Charles III Portrait Design
The heads side of this coin features the definitive coinage portrait of King Charles III, designed by sculptor Martin Jennings, paired with a Latin inscription that reads 'CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 50 PENCE · 2026 ·'.
What Are Silver Proof Coins?
This coin is the same size and weight as a standard UK Fifty Pence coin, but is made from solid sterling silver with a premium proof finish, achieved through multiple strikes of hand-prepared dies, which creates an attractive high-shine finish.
Limited Edition Collectable
These Concorde coins are officially licensed and produced in partnership with British Airways and Airbus. The UK's national mint only authorised the release of 3,500 of these silver 50p coins, which are supplied in a gift box.
