Released 80 years after the end of World War Two, this commemorative coin is a tribute to the individual stories of the conflict and has been created in collaboration with the Imperial War Museums. Many of the soldiers who served during WW2 received three instantly recognisable medals: the 1939-45 Star, the Defence Medal and the War Medal 1939–1945. These important symbols of bravery have been carefully rendered by renowned British coinage artist Timothy Noad and feature on the reverse of this 2025 coin. Struck sterling silver, this double-weight, double-thickness Fifty Pence is a premium collectable supplied in a display case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
