The first silver Krugerrand, struck in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of these iconic South African coins. This 999 silver one-ounce bullion coin is part of a collectable range released to mark fifty years since the first gold Krugerrands were struck. In most respects, these fine silver coins replicate the instantly recognisable design of their gold counterparts with a portrait of Paul Kruger on the obverse and a springbok antelope on the reverse. Pieces from the 50th-anniversary collection are distinguished by a tiny mintmark above the springbok. The 2017 silver 1oz coin also features attractive high-shine devices contrasted against frosted fields. These pre-owned South African Mint coins are a key addition to any Krugerrand collection.

Silver Krugerrands are struck in 999 silver and offer exactly one troy ounce (31.10 grams) of pure precious metal. These non-circulating coins have frosted surfaces and mirrored designs, an attractive and unique finish.
The SA Mint produced 1,000,000 of these bullion finish silver coins to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Krugerrand. These are pre-owned examples, supplied without any addition packaging.
