The 2013 Explorers' First Sighting Kangaroo coin struck in .999 silver. The reverse design translates to an uncirculated bullion coin a famous oil painting: The Kongouro from New Holland by George Stubbs. This majestic depiction of Australia's national animal, painted in 1772, is complemented by an effigy of Elizabeth II on the obverse side. This 2013 edition begins the Explorers' First Sighting series by highlighting Stubbs' profound 'roo with a shiny finish against the frosted field. The Royal Australian Mint strike each coin with 1.00 one troy ounce of intrinsic silver content, making this one-year-only bullion coin both collectable and investable. Being no longer available to purchase new, the coin offered is pre-owned and will be supplied in protective packaging at no extra cost.
