The Royal Celebration Silver Proof Set: a premium Royal Mint set featuring two UK Five Pound coins, struck in .925 sterling silver. 2002 and 2003 saw two important anniversaries for the British royal family. In 2002, Queen Elizabeth II marked her Golden Jubilee, celebrating fifty years on the throne. The following year saw the 50th anniversary of Her Majesty's Coronation. Both anniversaries were marked with commemorative Crown-sized coins, featuring highly unique designs with one-off obverse portraits. The Golden Jubilee £5 is the work of Ian Rank-Broadley and pairs an equestrian portrait with a new crowned effigy. The Coronation Anniversary coin was created by Tom Phillips and displays an unusual linear portrait of the Queen. These coins each weigh 28.28 grams and boast a proof finish. They are supplied in the original presentation case, complete with certificates of authenticity.
