Collectable King George V 1920 UK Threepence - struck in .925 silver at the Royal Mint in London, just after the First World War.
These are some of the last British coins minted in sterling silver. Following the passage of the Coinage Act 1920, the percentage of precious metal in coins like 3ds would be reduced to 50% in response to soaring silver prices, which had made UK coins more valuable as bullion than currency.
