The reverse of the coin has been designed by Bradley Morgan and features the iconic hat, glasses and bow tie, with the words Elton John. An innovative coin surface design creates a pulsating pattern in the lenses of the glasses.
The Obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
