A collectible hammered silver Shilling of King Charles the First with the mintmark of ‘Bell’ indicating struck at the Tower mint in London in the year 1634 or 1635. The reverse features the crowned bust of the king facing left with the crown to the outer edge of the coin and no inner circles, in roman numerals is XII behind the kings head representing the value of 12 for twelve pence or one Shilling. The reverse displays the crowned oval shield of royal arms with the words CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO which translates to ‘I reign under the auspice of christ.
Grade: Grade: AF. Light even tone with pretty much full clear legends, bust a little weak and parts of shield otherwise around Fine with little clipping
