Scarce 2025 silver proof four-coin Maundy Money set in a presentation box. In 2025, Royal Maundy was distributed on Thursday, 17 April, at Durham Cathedral by King Charles III. The tradition of the monarch distributing money on Maundy Thursday dates back centuries. Since so few coins of this kind are issued by The Royal Mint every year they are very popular with coin collectors with modern dates difficult to acquire. This set contains exclusive Maundy Fourpence, Threepence, Twopence and Penny coins, all struck in 925 sterling silver by The Royal Mint. The coins are presented in a clear protective sleeve inside a presentation box and feature a portrait of Charles III on the obverse and the classic crowned numeral design on the reverse. A rare set and an important addition to any Maundy collection.

  • 2025 Maundy Threepence
  • 2025 Maundy Twopence
  • 2025 Maundy Penny

Portrait Of King Charles III

The four coins in this 2025 set feature Martin Jennings' definitive portrait of King Charles III, together with an inscription that reads 'CHARLES III · DEI · GRATIA · REX · F · D ·'.

Classic Maundy Money Reverse

For centuries, Maundy coins have featured a standard reverse design showing a numeral surmounted by a royal crown and surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves. The date (2025 in this case) appears on either side of the central number.
