1943 Threepence George VI Silver Coin

1943 UK silver Threepence coin, struck during the reign of King George VI, primarily for export to the British West Indies.

These coins entered circulation at the height of the Second World War as the tide of the conflict turned in the Allies' favour. These coins display an uncrowned portrait of the monarch by Humphrey Paget. The reverse bears a distinctive Tudor rose and shield design by George Kruger Gray.
