1939 Threepence George VI Nickel Brass Coin

Historic 1939 UK nickel-brass Threepence struck at the Royal Mint in London as Britain entered the Second World War.

These distinctive coins feature the uncrowned effigy of King George VI by Humphrey Paget on the obverse. The reverse shows Frances Madge Kitchener's instantly recognisable thrift plant design, introduced in 1937 and used on these brass coins throughout George VI's reign.
