* Images are of the actual product not stock images

A silver Crown of Queen Victoria, dated 1893. The obverse features the veiled and coroneted Old Head portrait which shows the queen wearing a necklace and garter star, facing left. This is the work of the medallist and sculptor Thomas Brock. The reverse shows the iconic image of a sword-wielding Saint George, slaying a dragon which cowers beneath his horses’ hooves. The initials ‘B.P.’ appear below the dragon, identifying the artist as Benedetto Pistrucci. The date appears below. The edge of this Crown reads ‘DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI LVI’ in raised lettering, indicating the regnal year (Victoria’s 56th) in which this coin was struck. Spink 3937, Davies 501.
