1888 Victoria Silver Crown Wide Date Coin

Jubilee Head Portrait Of Queen Victoria
The obverse of these coins is inscribed with the words 'VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:', encircling the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria by Joseph Edgar Boehm. Victoria is shown wearing the Small Diamond Crown and a long lace veil.
Saint George Reverse With Wide Date
The date (1888) on the reverse of these coins is spread, the numerals widely spaced. It appears below an engraving by Italian artist Benedetto Pistrucci showing Saint George on a rearing horse slaying a dragon with his sword. The artist's initials are shown to the right of the date.
Sterling Silver British Currency Coin
19th-century British Crowns are minted in .925 sterling silver. These large coins weigh approximately 28.28 grams and measure 38.6 millimetres from milled edge to milled edge.
1888 Victoria Crown Mintage Figures
