Victoria silver Shilling dated 1881. Obverse: features fourth Young Head, type A7 portrait of Queen Victoria, facing left, her hair bound back in two fillets. The original portrait is attributed to William Wyon though his initials do not appear to the truncation of the queen’s neck. Legend around reads: ‘VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR : REG : F : D :’. Reverse: ‘ONE SHILLING’ on two lines, surrounded by a wreath of oak and olive branches, tied at the bottom with a ribbon. The date (1881) appears below and a crown above. Artist: Jean Baptiste Merlen. Edge: milled. This coin weighs 5.66 grams and has a diameter of 23.5 millimetres. Grade: A UNC - Bright with a light tone, minimal contact marks and minor die flaws for about Uncirculated. Spink 3907.
