A collectable silver Sixpence of King George the Fourth dated 1826 with both sides by the engraver William Wyon. The obverse features the bare head of the king facing left, with the reverse showing the crowned lion on a large crown with the three flower emblems representing England, Scotland and Ireland below. George IV was born August 1762 and became known for his extravagance and indulgence in luxury goods, which influenced fashion to which we know as ‘Regency style’. This superb silver Sixpence in high grade would make a good addition to any collection.
