A rare and very collectable William and Mary silver pattern farthing or medalet, undated. The obverse features the draped bust of William III facing right, and the reverse shows the undraped bust of Queen Mary II, also facing right, both possibly by John Roettiers. William and Mary ruled as co-regents from 1689. Their circulating currency show both monarchs on one side in a double portrait. The pattern coin is similar to Peck 632 but struck with different dies. A fascinating piece of numismatic history in a high grade, supplied with old Farthing Specialist envelope.
Grade: EF - A dark tone with some colour and lots of ‘eye appeal’ Extremely Fine
